Effective February 3, 2025, in response to the expiration of the Cal/OSHA non-emergency COVID-19 prevention regulations, UCI Health will no longer require co-workers who test positive for COVID-19 to report their results to Occupational Health. Additionally, contact tracing for routine COVID-19 cases, along with the notification of close contacts and exposure location reporting, will be discontinued on this date. Co-workers who experience symptoms of COVID-19 or test positive for COVID-19 should follow the UCI Health Working Well Guidelines. The updated state requirements do not change UCI Health’s mandatory vaccination program participation policy. Co-workers who are not up-to-date with vaccinations for influenza and COVID-19 are still required to mask.
