ALIGN RATING SCALES

RATINGS & FUTURE FOCUS

Ratings are used to ensure collective understanding and appraisal transparency between staff and leaders after each check-in. Ratings provide the basis for identifying what to focus on next. Through regular one-on-ones and check-ins, staff and leaders will have many opportunities to discuss and align on what knowledge, skills, resources, and support are needed to get to the next level of performance and prepare for future opportunities.

KEY DELIVERABLES SCALE

Each rating carries the noted point value of 1-4 to be used in calculating the final Overall Rating.

4: SURPASSED – Successfully completed more than the specified key deliverable and exceeded all established criteria (time, quality, results, etc.).

3: ACCOMPLISHED – Successfully completed the specified key deliverable and met all established criteria.

2: PARTIALLY ACCOMPLISHED – Completed part of the specified key deliverable, missed on some established criteria.

1: NOT ACCOMPLISHED – Did not complete any of the specified key deliverable within the established criteria.

KEY BEHAVIORS SCALE

Each rating carries the noted point value of 1-4 to be used in calculating the final Overall Rating.

4: ALWAYS – Consistently models the behavioral anchors.

3: MOST OF THE TIME – Displays the behavioral anchors often.

2: SOMETIMES – Displays the behavioral anchors inconsistently.

1: RARELY – Seldom displays the behavioral anchors.

OVERALL RATING CALCULATION

The average of Key Deliverables plus the average of Key Behaviors equals the Overall Rating. The maximum total Overall Rating is 8. View point value chart

ABOVE TARGET – Sum greater than or equal to 7 with no 1s or 2s for any key deliverable or behavior

ON TARGET – Sum greater than or equal to 4 yet less than 7

BELOW TARGET – Sum less than 4
