HOW DO WE MEASURE ENGAGEMENT?

At UCI, we measure engagement using various surveys. Because positive experiences are a high priority at UCI, we want to understand more about co-workers’ experiences. We seek to collect information throughout various stages of co-workers’ lifecycles, and the feedback we obtain helps us understand both our strengths and our opportunities.

Staff Engagement Survey

The Engagement Survey is administered enterprise-wide every other year in August and September. Launched in 2017, the survey measures foundational engagement as well as specific engagement topics including supervisor effectiveness, supervisor accountability, change management effectiveness, DEIB efforts, and wellbeing.

Co-Worker Perceptions Surveys

Perception surveys are a way to collect integrated data from co-workers at various stages of their employee lifecycle with UCI. Data from the surveys will be used to better understand and improve the experiences across the employee lifecycle. Surveys are quick and easy to complete, and the questions are designed to gather feedback to help UCI Human Resources identify where the needs of co-workers are being met, and where there are opportunities to make improvements in the workplace.
